Piped Flower Cakes Workshop

Skill level: beginner 

Learn how to pipe realistic blooms with our delicious signature meringue buttercream. You will decorate six cupcakes to take home boxed and enjoy (or freeze for a special occasion) and go on to create a two tier floral dummy cake, which is yours to keep. 

We will use a mixture of tips to pipe a variety of flowers onto cupcakes which I will have baked especially for the class. I’ll share my recipes for silky smooth and delicious Italian meringue buttercream and light- as- air cupcakes. We’ll use a piping nail and lifters to transfer flowers onto cupcakes and progress to piping directly onto a cake.

We will also cover basic colour theory, how to mix colours and tint buttercream to create natural and realistic tones, how to group different shapes and textures, and some cheeky time saving hacks, for when you’re pressed for time but need a last minute and very special gift for an event.  

Coffee, tea and lunch are included, but do let me know of any dietary requirements in advance if you can. 

I’ll supply all the equipment needed for the class and there will be an opportunity to buy a pack of the equipment we have used.
